Fantastic little hotel with spectacular views

I loved the fact that the tiny hotel was built into the cliff face and the best way to reach it was by water taxi. You arrive by water taxi, five minute ride, from Ischia Ponte and step out onto the hotel pontoon right onto the hotel's beach. (There is an alternative route that goes by road, but then there is quite a long steep hill to reach the hotel.) The small private beach has very dark sand (it is volcanic). The sand was not as black as Torre Del Greco near Naples, where we had just been staying at the foot of Mount Vesuvius. I loved the decor in the hotel, pretty blue and white tiles, and very fresh. We were served welcome drinks, (very welcome since it was so hot!), before being shown our rooms, one with a sea view and one without. Both rooms were quite small but lovely. The bathrooms looked gorgeous. I couldn't help taking photos of everything, all so pretty! The views are spectacular at the hotel. Whether you book a seaview room (with balcony) or not, the moment you step outside, the views out onto the sea are incredible. Since the hotel is not in the main tourist area, it is far less busy and (to my mind) much nicer.   There is a gorgeous terrace where you can sit out, eat, drink or just chill - watching the sea. There is also a sweet little pool with umbrellas and deck chairs on which to laze. In fact, very few people seem to use the pool, it felt like having my very own private pool! It is possible to order food and drinks in the hotel and have them poolside or the terrace. The hotel restaurant serves good if not spectacular food and is a stone's throw from the sea. I recommend the gnocchi and the octupus dishes, very good! I would love to visit again if I could. I would recommend room 28 as that has the best view of the sea.

− There is nothing I did not like. But I will warn that there are alot of steps (it is built into a cliff, after all) so be prepared! You will be rewarded with the most beautiful views.

Hotel Da Maria to wyjątkowe miejsce z niepowtarzalnym klimatem. Położenie nad samym morzem, z widokiem na Zamek Aragoński, jest po prostu zachwycające. Ogromnym atutem jest prywatna plaża, basen z wodą termalną oraz możliwość dopłynięcia do hotelu motorówką, co już samo w sobie jest świetną atrakcją. Na przystani czeka pracownik hotelu, który pomaga z bagażami, dzięki czemu od pierwszej chwili można poczuć doskonałą organizację i prawdziwą włoską gościnność. Personel jest niezwykle serdeczny i pomocny, a atmosfera sprawia, że człowiek czuje się tu jak w domu. Śniadania są bardzo urozmaicone – oprócz bogatego bufetu można zamówić świeżo przygotowane jajka w dowolnej postaci. Na szczególne wyróżnienie zasługuje również restauracja położona tuż nad samym morzem. Przemiła obsługa, piękne widoki i absolutnie wszystko, czego spróbowaliśmy, było przepyszne. Kolacja przy szumie fal to doświadczenie, które na długo zostaje w pamięci. Największym skarbem tego hotelu są jednak widoki. Z balkonu i tarasu godzinami można obserwować morze, przepływające żaglówki i łódki. To lepsze niż niejeden film – działa kojąco, uspokaja i sprawia, że naprawdę można zapomnieć o codzienności. Do hotelu prowadzi sporo schodów, ale dla takich widoków, atmosfery i gościnności zdecydowanie warto. To miejsce, do którego z przyjemnością się wraca.
